To expand the team, we are looking for the right candidates for the position of:
1st AV Install Engineer
The purpose of this position is to take care of coordination and performance of technical work towards the realisation of simple (routine) to extremely complex audio-visual systems. The activities can be extremely complex and comprehensive. Therefore, it is necessary that the 1” AV Engineer possesses broad knowledge and experience to be able to carry the full responsibility of the technical realisation of the project including costs and hours.
The 1st AV Install Engineer is independently and jointly accountable (overall responsibility) with the Lead & System Engineer and Project Manager for an accurate execution of the appointed projects and other resulting activities including costs and hours. These need to be completed in accordance with the AVEX standards and procedure.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the realisation of the activities within the set time.
- Provide input to the practical attainability of technical designs.
- Provide input and contribute to an efficient management of the installations, using the strict processes and templates available.
- Give sufficient and regular feedback about the status of the project to the Project Manager.
- Responsible for remaining aware and expert in emerging technology/products within the industry.
- Executing the activities according to the set quality standards.
- To keep the set of tools, materials, workspace and means of transport complete, proper/clean, safe and durable.
- Keeping track of a sound administration for example time sheets, expense sheets, mileage lists and warehouse tickets.
- Transfer of knowledge to fellow (install) engineers.
- To participate in by AVEX offered relevant education.
- To work accordingly the required standards and values of AVEX including BIPP.
- Support AV & VC Solutions in the UK & Europe, according to company procedures, guidelines & best practice.
- To actively contribute to improve the organisation where necessary. Responsible for onsite health and safety.
- To use the necessary work equipment, hazardous substances and personal protective equipment properly and to instantly inform management in occurrence of hazardous situations.
Required knowledge and skills
- Educational level: Intermediate Vocational Education
- In possession of International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Leadership skills.
- Extensive and specialized knowledge of audio and video techniques.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical position in the AV branch.
- Advanced knowledge of network and computer/JCT techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of systems engineering
- The necessary knowledge of used software packages.
- Knowledge of the technical quality standards maintained at AVEX.
- Knowledge of procedures concerning the technical installation, implementation and delivery of AVEX projects.
- In possession of a driving license.
