AVEX wins GPA Global Deployment Excellence Award 2025

This innovative project, led by AVEX UK, involved the design and installation of Immersive Training Rooms for ABS, a leading global authority in maritime and offshore classification.

Thanks to the dedication of our team and combined technical expertise, we created a training environment that offers users a realistic and interactive learning experience.

The award is a wonderful recognition of the collaboration within GPA. In addition to our own team, we would like to thank our GPA colleagues of Panou (Athens), Omnix (Doha), and ESCO (Singapore). Their contribution and expertise were essential to the success of this international project.

Together, we have created training facilities that not only meet the highest standards in maritime safety and operational efficiency but also showcase the future of immersive learning technology.

About the award winning project

Immersive training centers

The scope: design and installation of state-of-the-art training centers for ABS, a global leader in marine and offshore classification. The result: a unique immersive training environment, with impressive L-shaped Absen LED walls.

The training rooms are used to prepare crews to handle new technologies and improve maritime safety and operational efficiency. All with focus on consistency in the three locations, Doha, Athens and Singapore.

The project was carried out in close collaboration with our local GPA Regional Business Units within a tight project timeline.
